Labbit presents himself as a gentle and approachable person – someone full of soft smiles and graceful moves. Unfortunately, his looks deceive He does not try to hide the fact that he is sarcastic and pompous. Being a Nobelian, he sees very highly of himself.  He won’t hesitate giving a piece of his mind. Despite his short-temper, he will do his best to speak in a civil manner even in utter rage. This is all for the sake of maintaining the perfect reputation of the Nobelia.

His vanity aside, he is a rather reliable and dedicated teacher. He is willing to put lots of time and effort to share his knowledge with his students, especially for the diligent ones. Want to go down to the mess of details? He will provide guidance and put in extra time just to teach. He thinks it is a duty for him to see success in this academy. So, even if he has some biased views towards certain type of monsters, he will put his personal issues aside during school hours.

History:

The Oshiro household was a wealthy and noble one. The couple managed a reputable potion brewery business. They also managed many social events on the side. It had been a traditional job passed down many generations. Labbit was the first born. In the next few years, two younger siblings joined.

All three kids were exposed to potion brewing at a very young age; however, only Labbit was particularly interested in it. He started out by making fun, common potions, some of which serve as edible toys. One of his favourite was a potion that produced thick smoke and turned into strings of cotton candy. He dreamed of eventually brewing original and practical potions when he’s older.

When he started to attend school, he was often teased for being so tiny. Since monsters all grow up at a different pace and comes in different sizes, Labbit didn’t think much of it. He would grow up eventually, he thought! Soon, his younger siblings physically matured way more than him. The odd gap was too strange to ignore. Upon multiple doctors’ examination, he learned that he had growth hormone deficiency and will be unable to grow normally indefinitely. There were no medical treatment plans available.

The word leaked and became a hot topic around school. He was turned away by some people he considered his closest friends. Labbit eventually fell into a spiral of denial and depression. He locked himself away from his family and stopped attending school. A perfect Nobelian like him couldn’t possibly land a curse like this. His mind was taken over by dark thoughts. He imagined all sorts of disturbing things. One night when he felt particularly broken, a black fluff appeared from the shadows of his room to offer comfort with a kiss on his forehead. This was when he became fully aware of his dark arcana. Although a short meeting, the darkness ironically shed a new light on him. It helped him take his first step towards recovery, although he still retained a lot of denial.  

It wasn’t long till he accepted to go through therapy and counseling through the advice of his family. Slowly, he was able to overcome his grief step by step. He still kept his silver of hope that perhaps one day his growth disorder will disappear.

He returned to school and struggled to regain his reputation. It held a strong importance to him as a Nobelian. After some rocky roads, he managed to excel in many classes with the help of after school tutoring and serious commitment, for the honour of his family and his perfect image. On his free time, he continued to experiment with potions and practiced using his arcana. His childlike body meant he became fatigued faster. He needed to find ways to work around it. So, his first goal towards original potion brewing went to mobility aid.

He dedicated his life to master potions, invent unique ones, and study up on herbs, and of course, the power of his arcana.  He became widely known as the master of herbs and potions. His skills and knowledge finally overrode his reputation of growth flaw.

Shortly after, Danildia invited him to be part of his court. Labbit saw it as an honourable position and a benefit to his family name; he took the offer without hesitation. He vowed to contribute whatever he could to the best of his abilities.  As time went on, he moved on to oversee part of the Absolute Academe as the Apothecary Tributary. Loyal to the Line, he felt it was the right thing to protect the school’s ideals and to see its success…
